Friday Wrap-Up

Hello Friday! This week was the week we were hoping we would have last week before the sickness struck but Mallory started her 3 days at day care this week and she did great! I'm afraid I will soon get a speeding ticket because I speed home after work so I can spend the evening with her!

Poor Brian didn't have a home cooked meal this week becuase all I wanted to do when I came home was play with Mallory. She loves just to lay on our bed and we play together. She smiles everytime I say her name and she just talks and talks. We have the best time!

Big Laugh

She just laughs like the picture above every evening. I'm so glad because I do miss her so much when I'm at work. I am still praying and figuring out the work/life balance and this past week wasn't bad. Mallory is just growing and changing and I want to spend every minute I'm not at work with her!

Mallory's new trick is rolling over in her crib! The first time it happened, I just called it a fluke because she was swaddled and was trying to get out. This time, she was still swaddled again but I'm just happy to know she's rolling over. I walked in to check on her and she was just laying there on her back (she naps on her stomach) just hanging out watching the fan.

She has no clue why I was taking her picture

When she is on her back on the floor playing, she has no interest in rolling over but that will come in time. It's so nice to see her happy/giggly self again after the sickness. I'm hoping that's our only one for a while!

We have a couple of things planned this weekend but not too much! I hope that you have a wonderful weekend! :)

The Pool

Since moving to our new place, I have enjoyed something I've never had before - access to a pool whenever I want to go! So I've tried to go as much as possible. Seriously.

The Pool:

I love inviting people to go to the pool with me and we can layout, relax and chat. If you would like to come, just let me know!

I also get to hang out with these boys at the pool:

I would love to have a pool at my house one day but I also do not know all the upkeep that is involved so that may just be a dream. So while I'm dreaming, I wanted to share some pools I've seen that are very nice and if I built my dream house, I would have one of these.

LOVE the Infinity Pool!

Nice and Big

I like something like this because I would like doors that closed in the cold and rain and opened in the warmth.

Just think this is really pretty

And We Moved...

The weekend we've been planning for 2 months had come. It was time to move. Before I even begin, we want to say THANK YOU to our family and friends who came and helped us move. We could not have done it without you and appreciate all of your hard work!

Friday night, Rob came over and Brian and he loaded the U-Haul truck. Brian and I had what could be packed, packed so we started off good. Although Rob and I doubted Brian when he said we could fit everything into the U-Haul and only make one trip - Brian proved us wrong and made it happen.

Brian and his 2nd love - his flip'n'fold. He has so many t-shirts and he had the best time folding them...I do love this man :)

Friday night - So happy to not be living out of boxes anymore

Let the loading begin with The Estes Boys

Friday night, since we had put our bedroom furniture in the U-Haul, we laid the mattress on our living room floor and slept there. Not much room but we were up bright and early Saturday morning - actually Rooms To Go woke us up at 6:30am to let us know they were ready to deliver our furniture even though we told them we wouldn't be there until 8am. Good times.

Saturday morning, our furniture was delivered and everything was unloaded from the U-Haul by 10:30am - everybody was so great! I didn't take too many pics because I was making sure each box went in the right place and everything was where it needed to be. I'm hope my family still loves me even though they moved the furniture around many times so I could see which way I liked it best :)

Us in front of our first home

Saturday afternoon, we went back to our First Home and made sure we had everything and that it was clean. I wanted to have a picture of us in front of our first home so we can always remember where we were when we were first married. This is also the house that I lived in when we were just friends, then boyfriend/girlfriend, then fiancee's, and then husband and wife. There are so many memories that I will never forget and am forever thankful to the Haddox's for letting us start our married life at their place.

Here's to our new home and all of the new memories that will be created there :)

This Week

I can sum up our upcoming week with these two pictures below:

Packing lots of boxes and...

Cleaning and more cleaning

I'm pretty sure I smelled of bleach all day Saturday after I completely cleaned our bathroom. This week is it - we move on Saturday and we are excited about it. We've accomplished a lot these past two weekends so we won't have so much to do Friday and Saturday but load and unload. So if you need me, I'll be packing or cleaning and if you don't have anything else to do, come join me :)

A Place to Eat

After we found our washer and dryer on Saturday, we only needed one more thing before we moved in and that was a table. We stopped by The Furniture Deal in Rockwall just to see what they had - not really thinking we would buy anything but we found the table below and they quoted us a price we couldn't ignore. I was so thankful and relieved that we found a table and it was something we both like.

Our New Table:

Thankfully all of the big items we needed have been purchased and now we just wait to get them when we move in. I look forward to seeing everything together!

Excited about New Appliances

Saturday, we went out shopping for a washer/dryer. We were going to look at a couple of different places and we started at North Texas Applicance in Rockwall. We didn't look anywhere after that. We went to scratch and dent part of the store and found a new GE Washer and Dryer that just had a little scratch on the side - which nobody sees anyway. We saved $200 and this husband and wife was very happy!

So here are our new prized possesions :)

I told everybody I feel like an offical adult because I got excited about buying a washer and dryer. How times do change! :)

What's A Girl To Do?

Now that the living room furniture has been found, I am interested in finding new dining room furniture. We still need a Washer & Dryer as well and I know we need that before a dining room table but I would still love to have one when we moved in. I've been looking online and as you can tell by now, I like dark colors - brown and black. I like to add accent colors to them but they are the colors I begin with.

I really like this:

or this:

But due to cost, this may have to do for now:

So I'm trying to decide whether to invest in a nice table now (and spend more money now) that will last a long time or just get a simple breakfast table to hold us over until we have a little bit more money after getting the Washer/Dryer.

Decisions, decisions...My want is to get the nicer dining room table with 6 chairs but my head, financial planning and adult self says to wait. What's a girl to do?

Living Room Furniture = Found

We have found and purchased our Living Room Furniture from Rooms To Go! I thought it would take us longer to find something since our first furniture looking outing lead to nothing but Brian later found our furniture set online and they had it at Rooms To Go so we went and got it!

We both agreed on dark brown as our color and I love the tables that come with this set. We got the sofa, loveseat, 2 end tables, coffee table and the rug. We didn't get the lamps - I am hoping to find some at Kirklands, Pier 1 or Target.

We won't see it again until we move in but it's nice to have this found. I can't wait to have friends and family over. They can now have a comfortable place to sit!

The First Buy

I went to Hobby Lobby today to use my Valentine's day gift card and it was so fun to buy something for our new home. I have a lot of decorations I've gotten from wedding showers, Birthday & Christmas presents, etc... but this was the first buy specifically for our new home - a coat rack! I know it may not seem like much but I was very happy b/c my thought was that this would look good in our home.,.plus it was 50% off - score!

We also looked at Washers and Dryers today but we didn't buy anything. Who knew looking for those would be fun but I am enjoying it!

Let the buying begin! I can't control myself!
