Broken Crayons

Happy Monday friends! I posted the above quote on my Instagram account a couple of weeks ago but honestly keep thinking about it everyday. I love posting photos of my wonderful family on my blog but as I was thinking of this blog today, I thought sharing some things might just help some other people who may be in the same place as me.

We are all broken humans in some way. We struggle with different things but even though we are broken, we can still color, meaning we can still leave a mark! Sometimes I just don't feel that I'm adequate enough to serve our Lord. I think, how can he use me? Am I doing the right thing? I think Satan puts those thoughts in our heads and definitely uses circumstances to get us thinking in the that direction. Last week it just seemed all these things hit me like a ton of bricks and I really had to work through it all.

As I was struggling and trying to work through things, God's timing was perfect with the timing of our bible study starting at work. Yes, I'm so grateful to work at a place where doing a bible study at work is allowed and encouraged. We are doing the Gideon bible study by Priscilla Shirer and after crying my way through the first video session, God knew just what I needed.

The tagline for this bible study is: Your weakness, God's Strength. Yes. I feel that I fail so often: as a wife, as a mother, as a supervisor, as an employee, as a friend, as a child of God. I try so hard and then sometimes feel like I fall short but in my weakness, HE is strong.

As a mother, I'm instructed to raise my child up in His teaching and many days, I'll be honest and say, lately, we are calling the day a success if we just make it through the day. Age 3 is hard and discipline is needed but it's hard when you feel that's all that you've done that day. And then I wonder if God feels the same way with me. Does He wonder when am I going to get it?

All this to say: I get it friend! I'm encouraging you and letting you know that we are in this together! Let's lift each other up in prayer and make our mark, even if we are broken! There are so many examples in the Bible and now about broken people making big differences. Let's start this week prayerfully and ready to see how God can use us!

Have a wonderful week!!
