Christmas Activities

We have been certainly enjoying the Christmas season this year!! We've been able to do many things but one of the things we didn't do this year was go to see Santa. We were planning to but when I asked her to if she wanted to see him, she would get a sad face and say No. As much as I love the pictures, we figured she was old enough to where we wouldn't make her go so I will just post the pictures from years past for fun.

Last weekend, we went to Karlyn's birthday party. These two have a special friendship and play so well together. Mallory was very sad when we had to leave so you know she had a great time! I can't believe Karlyn is 4! Kati threw a fun party and I love continue to watch these two grow up together!

Last Saturday night, we headed to my parent's for their town's Christmas parade. Mallory was very tired but finally perked up once the parade started. It was a really good parade and I'm so glad we were able to go!

On Sunday night, we headed went to my parent's church's Christmas service. Mallory and I were both excited that the Christmas outfit she had last year fit really well this year too! She kept saying she was a ballerina.

My Mom and her friend Cheryl decorated a table and brought desserts for the program. People from their church volunteered to decorate tables and bring desserts and then invited people to come to the program and sit at their table. I'm so glad we were able to come this year! My mom made this yummy and beautifully decorated cake!

Towards the end of the program, they passed out candles and we let Mallory hold one. She was so excited too an I was just praying she didn't burn the church down. She did a good job and was very focused on holding it. This is probably one of my favorite pics of her. I love this beautiful girl

She is starting to truly learn the true Christmas story and that makes my heart happy.

It was a great Christmas program and I'm so glad we got to go. Thanks Nana and Papa for the invite!

Yesterday, Mallory had her Christmas party at school. She got to wear her pajamas and each kid brought a book for a book exchange. Santa also came but of course, there were no pictures of her anywhere close to him.

Sunday begins the Christmas celebrations with my Mom's side of the family! I'm so looking forward to it!! Have a wonderful weekend!

Love Mallory's beautifully candlelit face. That's a great picture.

And Bless her Heart, she HATES that Jolly Ole St. Nick. I don't blame you for not taking her back this year.

Merry Christmas y'all!!

I love her little candlelight picture too :) I'm sad she didn't want to see Santa this year only because her pictures are always so priceless!
