Last week, we got our Gingerbread House Kit and got ready to put it all together! Mallory kept asking to build the "gingerbread" so we got it out and got to work. Putting the gingerbread house together and decorating it is definitely a Brian and Mallory thing. They both work on it and I love that this is something they do together and hope it is a tradition that will carry on.
These two were both equally excited to get to building the house. Let's be honest - Brian takes the building of the house very seriously! He wants to make sure it's perfect. We both get a good laugh out of it because he works hard to make sure the icing and parts of the house are perfect - ha!
Mallory had to get closer to inspect his building
This picture cracks me up because she got really excited when Brian started building the house
While Brian was putting on the finishing touches, Mallory started decorating the Christmas tree
And then started eating the decorations :)
Putting the finishing touches on
And taking another swipe of the icing
And it was finished! She was very happy about it!
And for the first time, we used the selfie timer to take a photo of the three of us. Not going to lie, I love it and I was happy we could get a good photo of all of us that night!
Love these two so much and I especially love the memories we make during the Christmas season!

What is it with kids wanting to eat all the gingerbread house candy - don't they know it's so nasty!!?? Glad y'all had fun though and I'm impressed Brian got the house built with just the frosting - I cheated this year and used hot glue because I can never get the frosting to hold the walls up for long!
Selfie timer for the win!
How fun! Look how cute she is with the gingerbread house. :-) I think we need to do gingerbread houses one of these years.
