Weekend Rewind - May 25-28, 2012

I know it is Wednesday and I'm just now doing the weekend post but it was busy and Mallory had her 12 month Dr.'s appt yesterday so here I am. I saw Shannon and Lyndsey linking up with Tami for this Weekend Rewind and I like it better than my Weekend in iPhone pics but it's basically the same thing with a different name :)

Friday night, Mallory went to stay the night at my parent's house. I love my child but we did need some separation for a night - I think she was over being with me and was ready for attention from Nana and Papa and that's what she got! So, Brian and I just relaxed Friday night. I wanted to make chocolate chip cookies and I laughed when I saw it told you not to eat the raw dough! I love the raw dough :)

Saturday morning we got up and worked in our yard. I mowed for the first time in a long time. I don't know how much I helped but I tried and I realized how out of shape I am by just pushing the lawn mower!

Saturday night, it felt nice so we went out and used our sidewalk chalk to draw. Well, I drew and Mallory tried to eat all the chalk :)

Sunday morning, we went to church and then Sunday afternoon we headed to my brother and sister-in-law's house for my niece's birthday party. Since Kiersi & Kayden both have birthdays in May, they throw them a joint birthday party and this year it was a picnic theme and we all brought our blanket to sit on and there were picnic tables also

Mallory was very happy to be there

She was also happy to see Eva - she went to hug her as soon as she saw her

The birthday girls - Kiersi is now 6 and Kayden is now 5 - when did they get so big?

Memorial Day we headed to celebrate with The Crowells, Julie, Emmalyn and other friends

All the food and Cooper at the grill

Emmalyn loved the water. I only got one pic of Mallory in her swimsuit but it was blurry but they both loved being in the water

Later, the guys came up with some jump and throw game that Brian was the leader of - I left after a couple of tries because they weren't very good at it.

While everyone else was outside, we hung inside in the AC and got to play with this cute little man, Kamden - Jill & Cooper's nephew.

It was a great long weekend - we were sad when Brian had to go back to work Tuesday because loved having him home but the next weekend will be here before we know it!
