I'm still here! Just when I think I'm at the end of blogging, I keep coming back! I still love documenting what we do and sharing photos so here's what we've been up to lately.
In July, I turned 34 and we celebrated. I love just being with my family and friends so it was great going to dinner and celebrating with them. Brian and Mallory took me out to my favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse, on my birthday. It was soooo good as it always is!
My mom picked up Mallory from daycare on my birthday and they made cupcakes for me.
They were delicious and a great way to end a great birthday!
We celebrated Mom and I's birthdays with my family at The Cheesecake Factory
The Reeses's Cheesecake was fantastic. I did indulge and enjoy all the good food/desserts to celebrate!
Caleb turned 17 in July earlier in the month and he chose On The Border to eat at.
And we ended the month celebrating July birthday's at Pam and Kam's house. We decided to celebrate all month and I do like that idea.
We are in full Kindergarten mode at The Estes house. I'll say it a million times but I can't believe it's actually happening. I feel like we've talked about Mallory starting Kindergarten for a while now and she will officially start next week. We decided to get our school supply shopping done early so we took the list and headed to Wal-Mart.
Sometimes, it's hard to make a decision on what color of pencil box to get.
I laugh at these pictures because Mallory was excited to find a snap bracelet that is also a ruler and she couldn't wait to show me. I remember when snap bracelets were the big thing when I was elementary almost 25 years ago :)
We got the supplies and then a couple of weekends later, we went school clothes shopping with Nana. We had a great time and Mallory loved trying on and modeling all the clothes.
Yes, I did get my annual "cut all my hair off" haircut because it's gotten to the length where it decides to frizz and not hold a curl :)
Friday, August 5 was Mallory's last day at Janet's. Mallory has gone there since she was a baby and Janet and all the teachers have loved on her since Day One. I can't say enough good things about everyone there and Mallory has made some wonderful friends there. I will always be so thankful for everyone there. It's always been comforting knowing that while Brian and I are working, Mallory was always in good hands! These two love do each other!
On her last day, one of Mallory's favorite teachers, Kaylie, brought her flowers. How sweet is that? I think these two are both going to miss each other! Kaylie has already promised her that she would come eat lunch with her at school
And last weekend, we headed to East Texas for a quick trip to see Joyce before the busyness of school, soccer and football came on. Mallory was happy to sit in the far back of the car.
The deer at Joyce's came out to see us Saturday evening. We had a stare down until they decided they were done and ran away.
We loved getting to hang out with Joyce and go to my hometown church. I also got to see my friend, Ashley and her family for lunch Sunday and it's always great to catch-up with her. We look forward to our next visit!
And that's our Life Lately. We've had other fun things going on and I'll blog about them as well! Thanks for hanging in with me!
