Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Monday and to many of my friends and their kiddos - Happy First Day of School!

Our weekend was pretty low key pretty much because Friday morning, Mallory woke up and when she tried to open both eyes, only one opened. Poor thing looked like she had gotten punched in the eye so a doctor's appt was made to confirm pink eye and to get some drops. She never felt bad - just rubbed her eyes a lot so Friday the right eye cleared up and it just went over to the left eye. So, we stayed in all weekend to get it all cleared up and not to share it.

Friday night, Mallory came in and started scrubbing the tile by the fireplace. I told her we would just call her Cinderella

And then we got in a laughing fit and were laughing so hard. I love her laugh and especially these fun moments!

Saturday, I woke up in the mood to bake and cook so we made pancakes on the griddle for breakfast. Mallory and I made cupcakes Saturday afternoon and she was really looking forward to frosting the cupcakes. *Side note - we may have stayed in our pj's for most of the day Saturday*

She was concentrating hard as she frosted the ones I gave her. I love her tongue sticking out while she works :)

Saturday night, I made our favorite meal - Roast & Mashed Potatoes. It was so yummy and we had our cupcakes for dessert.

On Saturday, I found out our church is getting a group together to see Beth Moore next year in Waco! Sign me up! I love Beth Moore and Travis Cottrell so seeing them with some of my best friends gets me so excited - is it March yet??

Sunday morning, Brian went to church and then we swapped and I went to Sunday School so I could be with my small group. I was sad Mallory had to miss Promotion Sunday but I'm happy she's still in the same class with her friends!

This year, my small group is combining with another small group (we would only have 7 at the most if they were all there so it just made sense) so I'm excited to get to know a couple of new girls and to team teach with Judy! Our girls our Sophomores this year so to celebrate the new year, we went to our favorite place: PF Changs. We also got them each a copy of the Jesus Calling devotional for them to have to start the school year. I'm excited to see all that God has in store for them this year!

After lunch, I came home and Brian headed to his Fantasy Football Draft. Me and my girl had fun being silly!

And when you've been quarantined at home all weekend, you get to build a fort with our table chairs.

After it cooled down, we headed outside to take some pictures of Mallory wearing her beautiful new necklace from Lyndsey who has opened her Etsy shop - Pretty as Pie

Purple and Pink are Mallory's favorite colors so the necklace is perfect! Thank you Lyndsey! Go check out her shop and get a Halloween necklace as well as many other pretty necklaces she has for sell. We love them and I'm so excited for my friend and her new venture!

And that's a wrap! Have a great week!
