Weekend Wrap-Up: March 27-29, 2015

Whew - what a fun filled weekend! We were busy with so many fun activities so here we go: I'll start with Thursday night. Lydia, one of the girls in my 9th grade small group, was performing in a play and Mallory and I went to cheer her on! Even better that it was Beauty and the Beast and Lydia played Lumiere. She sang "Be Our Guest" and everyone did a fantastic job. Mallory and I loved it!

I kept telling Lydia how wonderful she was after the show

And yes, Mallory did get to hug Belle

Friday night, we celebrated Brian turning 35! We had a fun party with our friends. Here is our selfie from the night

Mallory stayed the night at my parent's house Friday since we had Brian's party and she was so excited because her cousins Kiersi and Kayden were staying at Nana and Papa's as well! Mom brought her back to us around lunchtime but before she came back, Brian and I went for lunch at The Fatted Calf. I can't remember the last time I've been out for brunch. I'm so glad we did - it was so delicious!

Saturday afternoon, we started it off by stopping by the hospital to see our friends, The Pattersons. My good friend Lauren was due mid-May but had to have an emergency C-section on Friday due to a placental abruption. Genevieve Belle Patterson is 3 lbs, 15 oz but is doing great all things considered. Lauren wasn't in the best shape due to all that happened but she is now recovering well. I'm so glad we got to go by and see them.  Of course, Brian was thrilled she was born on his birthday. Here is the proud dad, Shane, and Genevieve!

After leaving the hospital, we headed to The Loflands to celebrate Liam turning 4!! The theme of the party was "Liam's Trash Bash" and Lyndsey did a great job with everything, as usual! The scavenger hunt and decorations were all so fun. These three cute girls were just chatting it up at the party

The big 4 year old! How is he 4 already??

Sweet friends!

After leaving the party, we headed back home and our friends, Cooper, Jill and Kinsley came over. We don't get to see them as often since they moved so we always look forward to seeing them when we can! Mallory and Kinsley were both so excited when they saw each other!

By the looks of Mallory's playroom, I think they had a good time. Or just pulled every toy possible out :)

Sunday morning, we headed to church and bawled my eyes out through our choir and orchestra's Easter musical. Songs of worship bring out the bubbling mess in me because I'm overwhelmed with God's love for us and Jesus's sacrifice. I'm so undeserving. The last song we sang, Hallelujah, is a song we sang at the end of the Passion Play that my church put on every year that I grew up at. I did get nostalgic and loved all the memories it brought back.

Since it was Palm Sunday, all the kids got palm branches and I got this sweet picture of these pretty girls!

And as we were walking to the car, I was following Brian and Mallory and had to get this picture. Be still my heart. Daddy/Daughter love.

We had the most beautiful day Sunday so we spent most of it outside. Mallory got a new bike, because one parent accidentally ran over her other one as he she was backing out of the garage, so it was time to put it together and get to riding

She was so thrilled to start riding but then after a while, when she couldn't get the whole pedaling thing down, she was done. This picture below perfectly sums up how she felt by the end of it - ha! I told her we would keep trying and she would pick it up!

Finally, Sunday evening, Mallory and I went and egged some friend's houses. I'll blog more about it in another post but we had fun hiding the eggs and then running to the car so no one would see us

And this fun weekend is a wrap!

Love the name the Patterson's chose for their daughter! So glad she's doing well.
