Disney on Ice

Last Wednesday morning, my parents called and wanted to know if we would be interested in taking Mallory to see Disney on Ice. I had seen the commercials for it but had not looked at the times or anything. Of course I said Yes and they were close to the Event Center where it was being held and got tickets for Brian, Mallory and I as well as tickets for Ryan, Kate and Eva. I was so excited and I knew two three year olds who were going to be even more excited!

I thought about not telling Mallory until we got there what we were going to see but I couldn't hide my excitement for it when I saw her after work and just had to tell her. She was thrilled and just as thrilled to be seeing Eva. This is her excited face once we got to the event.

Eva didn't know Mallory was going to be there so seeing them see each other was the best! And this was the best shot I could get of them because they were off and running to go in!

We walked around a bit before it started. Of course you could pay $20 to have your picture taken by a cardboard cutout of Elsa and Anna ( No Thank You ) so we opted to have them pose by a sign in front of one of the Disney booths :)

Family Photo Op

We went and found our seats to get ready for the show

Ready to go!

I tried to take pics of all the princesses but my iPhone got a lot of blurry photos since they were moving so here are some that turned out. Mickey and Minnie were our hosts

They started with Aladdin and Jasmine and then we got to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Lumiere sang Be Our Guest

Rapunzel and Flynn Rider were next. Then, Ariel skated to Part of your World and then Sebastian came out and sang Under the Sea. Bubbles fell from the ceiling and that was a big hit!

Quick selfie of the girls at Intermission time

Mallory kept asking to see Elsa, Anna and Cinderella. Of course they were in the second half of the show so while she loved seeing all the other princesses, she was ready to see her favorites

Tiana from the Princess and the Frog started after intermission and then Aurora from Sleeping Beauty came out

They had a dragon as part of her set and I'm not going to lie, it was pretty scary looking, especially with the fire. If you ask Mallory about the show, she will start by saying that she did not like the fire because it did make every one jump back

And then....it was time for Frozen! When they were introducing Anna and Elsa you could hear all the kids gasp. It was so great! They sang many of the songs from the movie and Brian and I sang right along with them!

This was Mallory's face the whole time while watching Anna and Elsa. She was in awe.

Olaf was there too!

It was wonderful! And then came Cinderella in her carriage

For the finale, all of the princes and princesses came out for a final skate

And they all waved goodbye as it was over and Mallory waved hard screaming "BYE!!!" to all of them. It was great!

It was an amazing evening and of course it was all Mallory could talk about at Thanksgiving! Thanks Nana and Papa for a fanastic memory that was made!

Ahhhh!!!! I got chills reading this. I'm such a dork about all things Disney. And then I read the part about you and Brian singing along, and I know I'm not alone. ;)

What a great Thanksgiving surprise.

Bummer about the fire, though. That's a scary part in the movie too.

That looks like SO MUCH FUN! I'm completely jealous! I hope it comes back next year! And I could hear Mallory screaming "Bye!" as I read about it, ha!
