Home is Where the Heart Is

And even though I was in Spokane, WA all last weekend, my heart was definitely back at home with my two loves. I'm thankful it was a great event. It felt good to be back in the saddle and see the event all come together. We had a great number of women attend Women of Faith at the Spokane Arena and most importantly, 294 ladies made the decision to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior!

Brian was super dad keeping Mallory this weekend! I know they had great daddy/daughter time but I also know it's hard being the only one keeping her and not another set of arms to hand her off too when you need a break. My parents kept Mallory Thursday night and Friday morning headed off to my niece's Kindergarten class to attend the Grandparent's breakfast at her school. They loaded up Mallory and off they went.

I can't say how thankful I am for technology these days. FaceTiming and just getting pictures throughout the weekend made it a hard time being away, a little bit easier.

Mom sent me this picture of Mallory on their way back home Friday morning

This is the glamourous life of traveling on the road. Hanging out in catering. Good times.

Our friend, Amanda Moore, got married on Saturday. I was so sad I couldn't be there but Brian took Mallory as his date and they had a good time. I laid out Mallory's dress, bow and shoes to wear and Brian put the outfit together perfectly. People we so surprised he dressed her on his own. Have I said he's a great dad?

I got home Sunday afternoon and was so happy to walk through the door. Mallory and I took a late afternoon nap together and it was glorious. I was so happy just to hold her and play with her. I know she won't remember at this age that I was gone but it was so great just to do our usual routine of putting her to bed last night. Love being home.

I bought Mallory a snowglobe from Spokane and she didn't know what to think of it.

1 trip down and 4 more to go this Fall. I'm blessed in the job I have and blessed for the family that love to keep Mallory for Brian and I when we are gone. I know our favorite Estes family helped out so much in keeping Mallory this weekend too and I can't say thank you enough!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Brian did a great job; I'm impressed! I don't know what we would do without the ability to send pics!

Awww so glad your back with your two favorite people! Brian was so funny - Amanda and I asked him if he dressed Mallory up cute for the wedding and he goes, "Yes I did! AND I even put a bow and shoes on her!" It was so cute!
