Released

Oh Blood Pressure monitor, how much I'm grateful for you and how much I'm glad not to see you everyday anymore. The monitor is my Dad's and thankfully he let me borrow it when I was put on bed rest instead of having to go buy one. Since mid-March, I've monitored my BP most everyday and now, it's time to let go.

I went for my 6 week check-up at the Dr today and thankfully All Is Well! My BP was 112/75 - I couldn't believe it was that much lower. Everytime I went after mid-March it was always around 150-160/90-100. I was the classic case of Gestational Hypertension. My Dr also said today that I get a special prize because she's never seen someone with as high of BP as mine, go as far along as I did (37 weeks) and have such a low BP at my check-up. I knew I was special :)

While I still will monitor by BP, like we all should, I am officially released from the monitor. Thank you all for your prayers as I was on bedrest dealing with the high BP. I'm grateful I didn't have pre-eclampsia and have a beautiful, healthy baby girl.

Speaking of which, here she is sleeping with her new toy her Daddy bought her at Cabelas. This as close to a dead duck that I want her to get :)

Woohoo, peace out bp monitor! That picture is so cute, we are going to Cabelas this weekend so Liam might end up with something from there too.
