Valentine's Day

Saturday night, Brian and I celebrated Valentine's Day. Brian told me he had our dinner planned but didn't tell me where we were going until I saw us pulling into the Outback Steakhouse parking lot. We LOVE Outback! We both indulged and enjoyed every minute of it!

When we got home we exchanged gifts. We gave each other a $20 limit since our Anniversary is in April and we will spend more then. So, for Brian's gift, I knew just what I was going to get him. He LOVES Tea and really wanted a tea maker so I headed to Target and go him just that for Valentine's Day. I also had the picture with him, his grandfather, brother and nephews put in a frame. He said he really liked both gifts :)

Brian had sent me some flowers last week and he also got me some of my favorite chocolates as well as a gift card to Hobby Lobby. He knows I LOVE that place. I cannot wait to have a house of our own so I can decorate. He said he got the gift card yesterday and I was there yesterday getting the photo frame so I'm glad we didn't run into each other - like our friends, Kati and Ryan, ran into each other at Target while shopping for Valentine's Day - too funny!

It was a great first Valentine's Day as a married couple. We had such a great time! I made cupcakes for us to have for dessert last night so we can home and enjoyed them. We ended the night by watching our Wedding Video. Our cousin, who filmed our wedding made a great edited version with different songs and it is so sweet and shows tidbits of our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception. We had seen that when he first gave it to us but it's always fun to watch again. However we hadn't seen the raw footage of each of us getting ready before the ceremony so it was so fun to watch that and laugh and think about what we were doing before the ceremony. It was a great night!

As Brian and I celebrated our love for each other, let us not forget the most wonderful love we could ever receive and that is from God who loves us unconditionally.

"For God so LOVED the world that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16
