A friend of mine, Stephanie, just got back from a trip to Ghana on a mission trip. There they were able to tell the people of Ghana about the love of Jesus Christ. She mentioned Sunday how frail some of the children are and it broke my heart. Why am I complaining if I don't get to eat right when my stomach growls? I am so blessed beyond words and these children are sleeping on dirt floors. It was Reality Check time for Amanda. I have food, I have a comfortable bed to sleep in at night, I have air-conditioning/heating, I have clean drinking water, I have clean water to shower in, and the list goes on and on and on.
With everything that is going on, it doesn't mean God still is not in control. He is still in control and does not want us to worry about anything!
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Philippians 4:6
Philippians 4:6
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Matthew 6:34
Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?"
Luke 12:22-26
If it weighs on my mind, then I just need to pray about it. Just give it all to the Lord and move on. He will take care of it and He will provide. He always has and always will. I have no reason to doubt Him. Here's to a new outlook!
I love you all!
