And The Dr. Said...

You still look great! We had our two week Dr.'s visit today and I was anxious to see how much you weighed. We got there and as we undressed you to weigh you, you decided to go ahead and pee on the paper...haha - at least it was on the paper and not anywhere else. And your weight as of today was 7 lbs 5 oz. Yes, you've been eating well and growing and today showed the proof. You are now 19 1/2 inches long now too. You are definitely having a growth spurt. The Dr said you were petite but that she was very pleased at how you were growing.

You also had to have blood drawn from your foot today. We had to warm up your foot to get the blood flowing and I was sad that you were going to hurt.

Dad held you and then the pedicatrician's assistant took you and started the process. It hurt me to see you hurt and cry. I had to help hold your other leg down because you were squirming so much - I just wanted it to be over. I can't even imagine how the 2 month shots will go.

Our good friends, Brad & Samantha Killough, kindly brought us dinner tonight. They were so sweet to come up to the hospital while we were there but Mallory had just gone to the nursery so Samantha didn't get to hold her then. She got her opportunity tonight and I was so glad Mallory got to meet our friends.

While you are in the middle of your growth spurt, you are also fussy. Last night you kept us up most of the night. Nothing we did calmed you down but you finally went to sleep. You were good this morning and then this afternoon, the cries came back. I know it's apart of growing like the Dr said but I just want you to be content. And then you got tired and wanted to go to sleep. And then there was silence.
