Mother's Day 2014

Sunday was a great day but last week I got my first Mother's Day gift from Mallory. She had made this at school and had given it to me! I love it so much!

When Sunday morning came, I got up and started getting ready for church as normal. Mallory came walking into the kitchen with these two things:

A sweet card she had picked out and some candy. I do love Sour Patch Kids! She and Brian did a great job as usual! We got ready for church and took a couple of pics before we left

I love seeing our pictures throughout the years! I love this little girl so much and love being her Mom!

After church, we went to see Brian's mom. She was working so she couldn't come to lunch with the family so we went by to see her! She was really happy we came by and I'm glad we got to stop by and see her too!

For lunch, we went to Pam and Kam's with the family. We always have a good time when we get together and Sunday was no different. I'm so glad that we were able to celebrate Gran and all the other Mom's in the family

I love all of these pictures!

And I think Mallory was done with smiling for pics when it was time for our family pic :)

After lunch, we came home to get ready for my parents, brothers and their families to come over. I was excited to have everyone over to our house! Since Kiersi and Kayden's birthdays are both in May, we decided to celebrate their birthdays along with Mother's Day. Melody made this great neon cake and cookies. Kiersi turned 8 on May 2 and Kayden turns 7 on May 26! How can that be???

We sang for Kiersi and Kayden individually and they each enjoyed blowing out their birthday candle!

Melody had said the girls wanted a betta fish for their birthday so Brian and Mallory went to the pet store to get a betta fish. Brian came home with two fish and one tank. He had gotten two male fish and read that they can't be in a tank together so back to the pet store he went to get two separate tanks. Our goal was just to keep them alive until we gave them to Kiersi and Kayden on Sunday. We succeeded and the girls were very happy to see their gift!

Mallory got to open a couple of gifts for her birthday coming up so she was thrilled! And then we gave Mom her Mother's Day gift. She loved her necklace!

After eating dinner, eating cake and opening presents, we headed outside to play. This picture means so much to me because I loved just being in our backyard with our family enjoying our time together. It was perfect!!

I love all of these people so much!

Me, my daughter and my Mom. Mallory and I both love this woman so much! She means so much to us and we are so thankful for her everyday! We love being with her and am so grateful for the wonderful example she is as a wife and mother!

This was the perfect Mother's Day!

Weekend Wrap-Up: May 9-11, 2014

Here is a quick weekend wrap-up:

Friday night, this little girl wanted to dress ups as "rella "again and she began posing for pics! She was cracking me up!

Saturday afternoon, we went to celebrate Layla's 3rd Birthday! Mallory loved all of the Anna and Elsa pictures from Frozen around. She also loved the cupcakes :) Unfortunately, she was exhausted and there were a couple of meltdowns so we left right after presents were open. But it was a great party!

While we were partying it up, Brian and our nephew, Cade were mowing our lawn. Cade did such a great job! I'm so thankful for his help!

Sunday morning, we went to church and celebrated in the baby dedications of some sweet friends!

And we celebrated Mother's Day! I'll blog more about that soon! It was such a wonderful day!

I'm so blessed to be this little girl's mom!

And that's a wrap!

Life & Baby Showers

The title to the post says it all. The last couple of weekends, we've been helping shower our sweet friends that are having babies with love and presents! And we have more baby showers coming and it makes me so happy to share in these special moments of their lives!

So...lately, we've been having fun with this crazy girl

Love that pose!

Brian has worked hard on building this workbench in the garage. He was so glad when it was finished. He still has a lot of more planned for it but I think it looks great as is!

Now to the showers...last weekend, I helped throw a shower for by best friend growing up, Julie and her baby boy Owen that is coming in June! She wanted popcorn for her shower so that is what she got! I love getting to see Jill and Julie and especially love seeing our daughters play together like we did when we were growing up! So Sweet!

This past Saturday, we celebrated Brian's former roommate, Cory and his wife Rachel and their baby boy! Cory is a big Dallas Mavericks fan so that was the theme for the shower.  Mallory had the best time even though she was confused at first because she hates taking showers - only likes baths - so she did not want to go to a shower :)

And yesterday, we celebrated my sweet friend Melody and her baby girl Brooke! I'm so sad because I did not get a picture with her! I did get a picture of the cute decorations that Joy and Lyndsey made for the shower. I also took a picture of the cupcakes that I brought because just getting them was a story in itself. I'm just thankful they turned out right and were edible :)

We have another baby shower next weekend and more coming this Summer! I love it!!

This past weekend, it has been so perfect outside in the evenings so we've spent as much time outside as possible before it gets too hot and unbearable. Mallory loves to color so we got our sidewalk chalk and colored our driveway. She got it all over her but we had so much fun!

And last night, Brian grilled burgers and we enjoyed dinner on our back porch. I loved it!

That's what's been happening lately! Hope you have a wonderful week!

Bluebonnets 2014

On Good Friday, we all headed out to the big bluebonnet field we go to every year to take some pictures. Brian's grandmother, Gran, joined us this year and I'm glad she was able to come! I think everyone had the same idea we did because the field was full of people taking photos. It was such a beautiful day and I'm glad we got some good shots! Here you go:

I love that I've taken her pic every year in the bluebonnets. So fun to look back and see how much she's grown! I love the yellow in the bluebonnets but I think the coral showed up well too!

The best shot we could get of Grammy with the kids

Thank you Texas for your beautiful bluebonnets and the great pictures we get to take with them :)

Easter Day 2014

Easter Sunday was such a great day!! We really had a wonderful time celebrating the resurrection of our Savior with our friends and family!! He's Alive!!

Beware for Easter picture overload. We don't really talk much about the Easter Bunny and we haven't seen any out anywhere we have been so she didn't really expect anything from it. Brian and I just got her a Doc McStuffins's doctor bag that I knew she would love because she's played with other people's a lot that have them. She was very excited when she saw it in her basket.

Yes, I love her face and her bed head!

She started right away taking everything out of the bag and giving us a check-up. She had to wear the stethoscope at breakfast.

After breakfast, it was time to finally get her dress out of the closet for her to wear. She was just as excited as I thought she would be. And she got to wear her new shoes. She knew that it was time to take the picture in front of the house before we left!

She looks so beautiful!

We went to church and Sunday School! It was a wonderful service and so great to worship our Risen King!

After church, we continued the tradition of taking pictures with Liam. I'm so glad we have these pictures of them together growing up!

They were both cracking us up! Love these two!

And Mallory loves "Seesul" aka Liesl so much too, so we had to get a pic of the three of them. And this one was the best, I think! Liam and Mallory looking at each other and Liesl looking at her big brother, Liam

We also got a picture with Kinsley. These two love each other so much and I'm so glad they get to go to church and school together!

After church, we headed to Kam and Pam's for a Easter Egg Hunt and pics!

I took some pictures of Mallory in Pam and Kam's yard and got some really pretty shots! I love this one - so pretty!

And of course, I have to take a look back

Pink three years in a row :)

Mallory, Emmaline and Josiah hunted Easter eggs and Mallory had a fun time!

Such a great pic of Pappy and Grammy with the littles

Later, we headed over to my parent's house to celebrate

Papa, Nana, Mallory and Eva

Mamaw with Mallory and Eva

These two had the best time together! I love their special relationship!!

The Estes Family

I do have to say that I didn't realize how many people actually read my blog because I got a lot of "eyelet" dress questions from the my previous blog. Cracked me up! I'm pretty sure I know what eyelet is now :)

The Bradley family - we missed Greg, Melody, Kiersi and Kayden!!

Mamaw with her littles and Aiden, Mallory and Eva looking at all of their eggs

What a fantastic day with our family! This was a wonderful Easter Day!
