Inside the Gaylord Texan and Pool outside
Our 1st Room - our 2nd Room looked just like it but faced inside the Resort
The inside of the Gaylord Texan is reallys nice. It has a life of it's own. It's nice to walk around and look at everything. We really enjoyed just relaxing there. We had a room looking out over Lake Grapevine (wasn't too much of a view) but when after we went and ate Thursday night, we got back to our room and they told us that they were going to have to turn the water off on our side of the resort due to a busted pipe. They told us they could move us and when Brian called he asked for a complimentary upgrade and we got it! So we moved to a room that faced the inside of the resort and it had a patio.

Friday we slept in and did some major shopping at Bass Pro (Brian shopped there, not me) and Grapevine Mills Mall. We then went to Founders' Plaza. I've wanted to go there for a while. I do love to fly and I enjoy all things about flying so it was fun to watch the planes take off and land. I kept saying to Brian "5 more minutes then we can leave." It was such a beautiful day to be out there too.

It was a wonderful 1st Anniversary get-away! On our way home, I told Brian "Let's go on another get-away in a month" and he said ok - next one will be at the Beach!
